He was raised in Southern California.

Initially, BM wanted to become a counselor and rapping and dancing were just his hobbies.

He moved to South Korea in the year 2011 and trained with DSP Media for 4 and a half years in total before his debut.

Adjusting to life in Korea was a bit difficult for him and J.Seph helped him a great deal.

BM’s fellow Kard members have been J.Seph, Somin, and Jiwoo.

It was planned that J.Seph and BM would debut as a duo but eventually, the plans changed.

Before debuting with Kard, he was featured in Goo Hara‘s song La La La from her 2015 debut EP Alohara (Can You Feel It?).

With Kard, he released the band’s debut extended play, Hola Hola, on July 19, 2017, and it peaked at number #2 on the Gaon Album Chart and at number #3 on the US World Albums chart.

On August 26, 2020, Kard released its first single album, Way with Words.
