Exclusive: Interview with Lexxi Saal

Lexxi Saal does not follow the trend. Instead, she strives to create one. With her latest release, the singer is aiming to create her own definition of music. Saal has recently released her single “Break a Bottle” that showcases her talent as a vocalist but also gives us a glimpse of her creative genius. The song talks about the moments when one should just vent out their feelings and let the phase pass. While the theme dealt is common, the manner of dealing is not.

To complement her concept, the singer aims to release a music video incorporating 4D Animation. CelebMix talked to Saal about the single, its music video and future projects. Check out the complete interview below:

Hi Lexxi! Can you please introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey, I’m Lexxi Saal artist, songwriter, and philanthropist be sure to follow my socials @lexxisaal

How did your journey as a singer begin?

I began singing when I was 11 years old I sang the National Anthem for the Hamptons Classic since that day singing has been a part of me.
I began to write songs as well around that time and through the years my writing has grown along with me.
Singing is in my blood I was given my gifts for a reason I thank god every day that this is what I get to do each day.

How has it been so far in terms of opportunities?

Every opportunity big or small has been much appreciated. Though the years the various performing opportunities have been learning lessons as well as opportunities to hone in on my craft. I am most grateful for the opportunity that I have been had over the years having the ability to share my music and my brand with my listeners and grow a loyal fanbase. Actually meeting the many people behind my social media is great. I appreciate the support they give me daily for my music.

You have performed alongside the artists and groups including Demi Lovato and Fifth Harmony. How has been the experience?

It was an amazing experience, being able to perform live sharing the same stage with some great acts is definitely a fun opportunity. The crowd’s love was insane and those performances were unforgettable.

Everyone has their definition of music. We would love to know yours.

Music is a universal language, a relatable one that we all speak the same.
It is amazing how music brings all groups of people together, to me music is an art of magic.
An artist has the ability to change or impact ones life with their music… their words…. and that to me is very powerful.

Do you have any artists you look up to in terms of singing and songwriting?

Some of my artist influences are Sia, James Arthur, John Legend, Dua Lipa, Amy Winehouse, Andra Day. Some songwriting inspirations are Julia Micheals, Benny Blanco, and Rita Ora.

Please tell us about “Break a Bottle”?

Break a Bottle was such a fun experience while writing, I wanted to sing a song that appeals to most and is a fresh way to celebrate the night.
There are so many occasions to which one can ‘Break A Bottle” to. We all need to kick back and break a bottle every once in a while, don’t you agree?

It is a catchy single and the phrase in itself is quite intriguing. Can you please tell us a bit about the creative process that went behind making the single?

Thank you I appreciate that I knew I wanted to write a fresh hook, in which no one has sung or heard before. So I started with the hook and then the melody and lyrics came along shortly after. In songwriting creatively for me, it is an in the moment process, especially for this song.

We read that you are planning to incorporate 4D animation in the music video for the single. Is that right?

The 4d animation was important to me because I wanted to incorporate a type of art that would compliment my art, something we don’t see so much. The 4D art is quite beautiful actually. It was fun watching the evolution of the process as it came together. It was exactly the way I envisioned it.

Not many artists have tried 4D animation in their songs. How did the idea come about?

The idea came about just as the hook did, I wanted to do something out of the ordinary I had envisioned a bottle breaking as I sang the hook and it occurred to me just how I could make it happen.

Would you like to share with us your future projects or endeavors that fans should know about?

I am writing a whole lot right now so you can expect more releases this year as well as some songs for film and tv that I can’t wait to share soon. The gift of doing what I get to do is like opening a new present every day I just don’t know what it is that is going to inspire me and how exactly I will express it in words to song, but then it just happens. I also am working with fellow artists on exciting projects for Lexxiloves.org my 501(c) supporting the children in foster care.

Lastly, do you have any message that you would like to share with your fans?

First and foremost be kind as often as you can. Go out of your way even when it is not easy. Kindness will change our world for the better. I sincerely practice kindness every single day.  From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you for the love you have given me so far for me and for my music. My journey has just begun and I am so happy to take you along with me. Your support enables me to continue to grow as writer and artist. I hope to meet each and every one of you and I appreciate you all. Cheers to us let’s break a bottle!
