It can definitely be said that the current series of ‘The X Factor’ has not let us down! Since the first episode of the new series began, we have seen the good, the bad and everything in between and we most certainly haven’t been left bored. With a new Judges line-up – made up of Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson, Ayda Williams and Robbie Williams – along with exceptional levels of talent, we can’t wait to see more from the rest of the series!

Here at CelebMix, we take a look back at the sixth episode of ‘The X Factor.’ Keep reading to check out our recap of the episode!

Nineteen year old Bella Penfold was the first audition shown in this episode. She spoke about her passion for singing, also saying that she does ‘what makes me happy.’ She took on ‘Fell In Love With A Boy’ by Joss Stone and we absolutely loved her audition! Judge Ayda Williams said that she saw ‘a lot of potential’ in her and Simon Cowell spoke about her raw talent. She received four Yes votes from the Judges and has made it through to Bootcamp.

Lanya Matthews – from Tottenham, London – was the second audition of the episode shown. She took on powerful hit ‘And I Am Telling You.’ Despite being only seventeen years of age, her performance was controlled, earning her a full standing ovation, with Louis Tomlinson describing her vocals as ‘insane.’ She received four Yes votes from the Judges and has also earned a place in the next round of the competition – Bootcamp.

Prior to her performance, Dee Wish said that she was ‘ready to go South East London style.’ She performed her own original song, titled ‘All The Way’ and we loved both the track and her phenomenal performance, which also allowed her to showcase her rapping skills. She even had dancers join her on stage, adding to the performance even more. Louis Tomlinson commended her for knowing who she ‘wants to be as an artist’ and Ayda said she was ‘one to watch.’ She is another contestant through to Bootcamp!

Even though he was extremely nervous, twenty-four year old Dalton Harris’ performance of ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’ has been one of the most emotional performances of the series so far. Following his performance, Judges Ayda and Louis got up on stage to comfort him. Simon described his audition as ‘sincere and surprising,’ also saying he saw the song from a different perspective. He received four Yes votes from the Judges, making it through to Bootcamp.

Ezat Azur’s performance of ‘Bang Bang’ was somewhat different. Following his performance, Robbie described his performance as ‘wonderful, huge and wrong.’ He was encouraged by Louis to stick to his day job, but Simon said that Ezat’s audition was definitely memorable. Ezat left the stage before the Judges had the opportunity to vote as to whether he made it through to the next round, but unfortunately he didn’t make it to Bootcamp.

Twenty-three year old Nathan Grisdale took to the stage next and he put his own spin on popular track ‘Rise Up.’ His vocals are truly breath-taking and unique, and Louis said that his tone was ‘absolutely amazing.’ Even though his performance was commended by Robbie, he felt that Nathan had more to prove. He made it through to the next round of the competition – receiving four Yes votes from the Judges.

The last audition shown on this episode was twenty-five year old Shan. She dreamed of being a singer from a young age and she performed ‘Never Enough’ from ‘The Greatest Showman.’ Her exceptional performance earned her a full standing ovation and Ayda said that she was the ‘strongest competitor we have seen yet.’ She received four Yes votes from the Judges – we can’t wait to see more from her in Bootcamp!

‘The X Factor’ continues every Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
